Asian New Year Celebration 2007
Gung Hay Fat Choy! and Chuc Mung Nam Moi!
Music, dance and special performances brought the sights, sounds and spectacles of Chinese New Year and TET to the Valley Forge Convention Center. 500 hundred parents and children joined us in celebrating the year of the Rat.
The Guanghua Chinese School from Montgomery County put on a spectacular show with dancing and music from different regions of China and dancers of all ages. It was quite a site.
There were games for older children and new crafts. Our photographer was offering a free photo in a fun frame, with the purchase of a portrait package, and there were plenty of new book titles and cultural items from both Vietnam and China for sale and Homeland Tours was there to showcase their travel packages
We would like to thank all the families who attend this event; it is you that makes it special. Gung Hay Fat Choy! (Happy New Year! - Chinese) Chuc Mung Nam Moi! (Happy New Year -Vietnamese)
We hope to see everyone again next year in January to celebrate the Year of the Ox, the date of next years party is listed on the top of the right hand side bar.
